From an Old WordPress Site to Booked, Paid Consultations

Dr. Yash S. Shah is an orthopaedic surgeon at Bodyline Hospital in Paldi, Ahmedabad. Infigrity replaced his WordPress site with a 25-page Next.js website and built in what the old site could never do: patients choose a time, pay ₹1,000 online and get a WhatsApp video call with the doctor.

Context

Replacing a Live Site Without Losing Search or Ad Traffic

The old WordPress site was the doctor's main source of enquiries, and a separate ACL subdomain ran as a Google Ads landing page. Old URLs now redirect in a single hop, and the ACL subdomain opens the new ACL treatment page with its original Ads conversions still firing.

The new design had to feel calm, clean and professional - right for an orthopaedic surgeon - while staying easy for an older patient to use. Infigrity designed it from the hospital's own logo colours, and it went live on the same domain.

Goal

Let Patients Book the Doctor Without Phoning the Clinic

Many of the doctor's patients are older, and many live outside Ahmedabad. The goal was a booking that asks for only four things - name, WhatsApp number, date and time - and takes payment in the same step.

The site also had to explain knee, hip, spine, shoulder and fracture treatment in plain language, so patients arrive at the call knowing what to ask. Every page leads to the same three actions: book a video call, phone the clinic, or send a WhatsApp message.

Challenge

Selling Time Slots Without Ever Booking One Twice

A paid slot can never go to two people, even when two patients pay at the same moment. Each slot gets a lock that can only be created once, is held for 15 minutes while the patient pays, and is released if the booking is cancelled.

The edge cases are handled too. If a patient pays after the hold has run out and someone else has taken the time, the system refunds them automatically through Razorpay and tells them why. The fee is fixed on the server, and every payment signature is verified before a booking is confirmed.

Process

Real Photos, Plain Words and Hand-Drawn Anatomy

There are no stock or AI-generated faces. The site uses the doctor's own photos, patients' own published stories, and 20 hand-picked videos from his YouTube channel, each placed on the treatment page it explains.

Anatomy is shown with SVG diagrams drawn for the site, and an interactive body map answers "Where does it hurt?". The copy is written for a 60-year-old first-time user: short sentences, plain verbs, and the fee and timings stated up front.

Technology

Next.js on Vercel, With No Database to Run

The site runs on Next.js 16 with React 19, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS v4, hosted on Vercel. Bookings, slot locks and blocked time are stored as JSON documents in a private Vercel Blob store, and Razorpay handles payments and refunds.

Clinic staff use a password-protected admin app that installs on a phone and sends a push alert for every paid booking. From it they reschedule, cancel, refund and block time. Doctor facts, fees and hours live in typed data files, so one change updates every page and its structured data - Physician, MedicalProcedure, FAQPage and VideoObject schema included.

Impact

A Clinic Website Patients Can Book and Pay On

The site is live at dryashorthobodyline.com and takes real payments. Measured on the live home page, it scores 100 for SEO and 100 for accessibility in Lighthouse, with zero layout shift and a desktop performance score of 99.

Dr. Shah was extremely happy with the result: the problem he came to us with - patients who couldn't book or pay without phoning the clinic - is solved. Design and build: Infigrity IT Services.
